One month challenge

Take a challenge with me this month.  There are 31 Proverbs in the bible and each one giving an example of being wise or foolish.  I don't know about you, but I need to discern between wise and foolish ways, ideas, choices and conversations.  Join me in reading a proverb a day for the next 31 days. And share your most challenging verse on this blog with us.

Proverbs 1

New International Version (NIV)

Purpose and Theme

The proverbs of Solomon son of David, king of Israel:
for gaining wisdom and instruction;
    for understanding words of insight;
for receiving instruction in prudent behavior,
    doing what is right and just and fair;
for giving prudence to those who are simple,[a]
    knowledge and discretion to the young—
let the wise listen and add to their learning,
    and let the discerning get guidance—
for understanding proverbs and parables,
    the sayings and riddles of the wise.[b]
The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge,
    but fools[c] despise wisdom and instruction.
